- Please note that there are no road closures, and this is not a race. We are doing this ride to simulate how it would be on the Munga for your benefit. Garmin Edge Navigation – Set-up, Tips & Tricks for Endurance Races – See the File link above:
- Please set up your Garmin accordingly and play with the settings! Practice makes perfect!
- The purpose of this document is to assist the “non-technical” rider to set up their Garmin devices themselves and ride a GPX navigation race without getting frustrated with getting off-course or lost in the process. Although we are only scratching the surface in this 26-page document (relax, there are many pictures), it should be easy enough for everyone to set up their devices before a race! At every race that I attend, I assist riders with basic settings that riders accidentally configure incorrectly. This should assist with that not happening again! Please remember that your day-to-day settings are completely different to these recommendations when you are doing Ultra Endurance Races.
The purpose of the ride is to come along and enjoy a longer Munga-type ride in preparation for the Munga or Munga Grit. Test your gear and mingle with like-minded mad Mungafarians! IT is ideal to learn the ropes and suffer together….
Please register on the Munga Website to manage the numbers for the Water Point & Catering purposes…
Kind Regards,
Jack Black
